- Students pursuing either a Master by Research degree (or up to four years for those undertaking their doctoral research) can receive full fee reduction for up to two or four years depending on their chosen degree type (MbR or Ph.D.).
- Students pursuing Master by Research degrees could receive up to 2 years in pro rata (2022 full-time student rate) of pro-rata living allowance of $32,400 annually at pro-rata rates (2022 full-time student rate), adjusted annually and inclusive of paid sick or maternity leave and parenting time benefits. This allowance could also be adjusted annually as necessary and adjusted as appropriate over time.

Application Procedure For Melbourne Research Scholarships 2024:
- First-time graduate-level research students applying to courses within their deadline dates automatically qualify for Graduate Research Scholarships; notification will arrive 7 days post application submission that this scholarship application has been added to your academic record.
- Interested graduate research course applicants who wish to postpone starting dates while reviewing eligibility for scholarships should complete an electronic scholarship application by October 31st in order to be considered for one next year. Should your submission be successful, notification that it was placed into your file within seven days should come from us as we accept our applications online.
- If you are currently studying a graduate course and wish to submit an award or scholarship application, do so before October 31st to be considered as a candidate in the following academic year.
