  • University of Sydney International Scholarships USydIS provide tuition costs and living expenses coverage for up to three years; with possible extension for one semester to Ph.D. Students.
  • The $40,000 scholarship can be divided over two equal payments over an academic year in two equal installments, or it can be received all at once in full upon enrolling for college.

  • All world countries. Students should pursue studies in areas identified by the university as areas with strong current or upcoming research strengths.
  • Have not held an Australia Award Scholarship within two years before applying for this RTP Fee Scholarship.
  • International students enrolled full-time at this university must be studying toward an HDR degree program;
  • those already participating up to six months into their course can also be considered.
  • Have you never previously received  RTP Fee Scholarship (unless it was for use towards completing a Master by Research degree that you already completed and are now seeking to pursue doctorate research degrees)?
  • Have not earned an equivalent research doctorate, or, in the case of academic master’s degrees in research, any research degree considered comparable with or greater than an Australian Research Master’s Level degree.
  • Since 2010, this award can only be applied for up to three times every five years and any scholarship that includes costs made possible through schemes in which Australia provides funding is ineligible for consideration.
