ARES Scholarship 2025-2026 Belgium Benefits:

Amounts for a Bachelor and Master’s:

  • International travel expenses include economy-class travel on an IATA-approved airline, limited to one round-trip ticket per academic year.
  • A living allowance of 1150 € per month is provided for a duration of 12 months.
  • An indirect mission fee of 150 € is given once per stay, upon the grantee’s arrival.
  • Upon the grantee’s arrival, an arrival allowance, tuition, and return fees of 700 € are provided. This amount is given once per stay.
  • Registration fees are charged at the current rate for DGD grantees.
  • Insurance fees are covered directly by ARES.
  • For inter-university training, travel costs will be reimbursed based on actual expenses incurred, provided that receipts are submitted.

The amounts for a training course grant are as follows:

  • Living allowance is 83 € per day for stays lasting 8 to 17 days, 1400 € per month for stays lasting 18 days to 1 month, and prorated to the number of days for stays lasting 1 to 6 months.
  • An indirect mission fee of 150 € is given once per stay, upon the grantee’s arrival.
  • Insurance fees are covered directly by ARES.
  • Travel expenses for inter-university training are reimbursed based on the actual incurred expenses, provided that receipts are submitted.
  • International travel costs include economy-class travel on an IATA-approved airline, limited to one round-trip ticket.

ARES Scholarship 2025-2026 Belgium Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for ARES Scholarships, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Citizens of Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Ecuador, Ethiopia (only for English courses), Haiti, Madagascar, Morocco, Niger, Peru, the Philippines, DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, and Vietnam.
  • Citizenship: Must be a national of a developing country and currently residing and working in their home country.
  • Age Limit: Must be under 40 for degree programs and under 45 for training courses at the time of scheduled training commencement.
  • Education: Must hold a diploma equivalent to a graduate-level diploma from Belgian universities. However, specific training courses may have different requirements.
  • Professional Experience: Requires relevant professional experience in a developing country for a minimum of two years post-graduate studies, or three years if holding a post-graduate degree from an industrialized country.
  • Language Proficiency: Must demonstrate proficient written and spoken French. For courses in other languages, a suitable level in the language of the course is necessary.
  • Commitment: Must commit to learning French for daily life in Belgium if participating in a course held in another language.
  • Application Limit: Must apply for only one training course.

Application Procedure For ARES Scholarship 2025-2026:
